Artist's Description

The vivid colors and loose brushwork convey the energy and excitement of downtown Chicago or any big city at night, especially on a night at the theater! What's playing tonight? The original piece, now sold, was 16X20 inches. But your can have a very good, affordable print displayed on your wall!

About J Loren Reedy

J Loren Reedy

Primarily self-taught, I painted my first painting shortly after retiring from my "real job" of thirty-five years as a bureaucrat for the state. I bought a how-to-paint book, a few paints and brushes and began painting. I began painting with oils. Recently I gave acrylics a try and find I enjoy that medium, too. My style is evolving, meaning the results vary from painting to painting. While I don't exhibit or sell any work I'm not proud of, some paintings do come closer to my style objective than others. And, yes, some paintings are trashed! Collectors from Hawaii to New England and Alaska to Florida have purchased my work. (Hopefully, the internet will expand the market for me to the rest of the world!) Visit my website at J Loren...
